I’ve been doing a lot of work on 12v TVs lately and there’s no doubt that compared to even a year ago, there is a lot more to choose from and I want to introduce you to some of the best.

In time, I will be adding more and more 12v TV reviews to TVDVDCombi.net, but as a first step, I’ve been scouring the market to collect together some of the finest models for you.

They have different features and functions depending on what you need.  Many have a built-in DVD player; some have a USB port so you can record TV onto a USB stick or hard drive.

There is also a variety of screen sizes depending on your budget and what space you have available.  They’re all great for the car, caravan or HGV.

Basically, as you probably know, when buying anything online these days whether a 12v TV or anything else, one of the first things to look at is how popular a model is.  That’s where I started and made a shortlist.  Then I filtered out any models that I was not happy with for whatever reason.  For example, some of them were over-priced and some were not selling for some reason – always a bad sign.

What I was left with is a great shortlist of 12v TVs.  Put simply, in my opinion they’re just about the best you can get in the UK at the moment, for features, quality, and value.

It’s Samsung’s first TV DVD combi and it’s very obvious that they have spent a lot of time and money on developing something really special here – it’s going to wipe the floor with some of the competition.

One of the main things I like about this model is just how easy it is to set up.  Everything is very easy and you will have it up and running in minutes (even if you can’t be bothered to read the manual..)

The unit is sturdy and well-constructed and has that “I’m-going-to-last-for-many-years” look about it.  So it’s just as well it’s a good looker, with Samsung’s trademark Merlot-coloured stripe along the base of the screen.

The picture quality of the HD-ready LCD TV is superb, nothing less, whether you are watching freeview (yes, this TV DVD combi also has a digital freeview tuner), or your favourite film on DVD.

The built-in DVD player really is a great bonus, as it takes up little extra room and means you can do away with all those messy, dusty cables!  As usual with a TV DVD combi, the added DVD player does not add a lot to the price, so makes the whole unit excellent value.

This sounds like a 100% endorsement for this product rather than a balanced review, but honestly, I can’t find anything bad to say about it.
